The Expo Science Park, with its focus on science and the future, enhances the consciousness of the importance of science in many young people's minds and upholds the spirit of '93 Expo. Cherishing the spirit of '93 International Expo, whose theme "New Way for a Leap," the Expo Science Park was opened as a theme park, the first of its kind in Korea. This park is a mecca of national
science education, a place that depicts international sciences, the future, as well as encourages cultural exchanges by upholding and improving the fruits of Expo. It also serves as a convenient relegation place as well. In the park, there are many popular pavilions, such as the Space Reconnaissance Flight Hall, the Technopia Hall, the Hanbit Tower, the Earth Hall, the Expo Memorial Hall, the Information and Communication Hall, the Electric Energy Hall, the Natural Life Hall, and the Energy Hall. And There are also other facilities such as the monorail, the playground, and lots of space,for different event.

From October 28 to November 3, wcg 2002 will be in progress at all pavilions and other facilities of Expo science park.
Location
Daejeon is geographically located between 127º33'21"and 127º14'54" in the east longitude, and 36º10'50" .through 36º29'47" in the north latitude. It is in the same latitude as Athens, Lisbon, and San Francisco. And Daejeon is located in the center of South Korea: 167.3 km from Seoul, 294 km from Busan, and 169 km from Gwangju.
The Main Pavilions of Expo Science Park
Expo Bridge
It is a bridge connecting The Hanbit Tower and the South Gate of Expo Science Park and it symbolizes the cosmos.
Starquest Pavilion
At this pavilion, you can experience a realistic space tour onboard a spaceship. You can enhance your knowledge and look into the future of space travel and exploration.
Nature and Life Pavilion
The main theme of this pavilion is "the Birth of Life" shown through a movie presentation. The movie shows the past, the present, the past and the future of life sciences.
Electric Energy Pavilion
This pavilion, in the form of a video tunnel that is one of the great draws of Expo Science Park. Large 7 meter color monitors are installed on both tunnel walls and under the glass floor. The tunnel ceiling is a mirror. One glance will enable the viewer to explore the history and growth of human civilization and the development of light.
Earthscape Pavilion
In the main hall, IMAX movies are shown. The IMAX theatre in the Earthscape Pavilion has the worlds largest screen. It extends to as the height of a 10-story building. In the Earthscape Pavilion, we are reminded of the significance of planet earth, the only planet in the universe of in habited by human beings.
Hanbit Tower and the Music Fountain Show
Hanbit Tower is the symbol of Daejeon's Expo and promotes enthusiasm for science and space exploration. Its built to a height of 93 meters reminds us that 1993 was the year of the Daejeon International Exposition. Expo Science Park and the neighboring area can be seen easily from the Tower, and one can also see the dynamic music fountain show with its brilliant fireworks.
Technopia Pavilion
The main feature of this pavilion is a trip to Technopia where the image of a futuristic city in outer space is realistically displayed by combining actual movie shots with computer graphics and dynamic simulation.
